Survival Elements
Breathedge gives away your main adversary in the title. It is not super hard to figure out since the setting does take place in space. Your main adversary will be oxygen.
Enemy, muuusstt geeettt oxyge…… Yep you guessed it, you will be looking for massive amounts of O2. the game also sports other enemy types mostly of the robot kind.
Food, even in space you will be required to eat, and if you don’t you will die.
Water, yep this too, you will need lots of water.
Heat there are areas of the map that will cook you to death.
Cold, there are also areas of the map that will freeze you to death.
There are also areas of the map that will make you glow like a Christmas tree dowsed in gasoline and set ablaze. (Radiation)
Diseases, are not part of the overall gameplay mechanics.
There are many fun and spectacular ways to die in Breathedge.
Base Building
Surprisingly Breathedge, has all the great base building options. You need to progress the story a bit before you can start, but fairly quickly you will be able to build your own space station of sorts. There are quiet a bit of decorating and utility options to deck out your new digs.
Crafting
Breathedge has many items to craft, many will be necessary to progress the storyline, others will just be needed to survive.
Looting
You need to loot everything in this game, many items are simply floating in space, some will be harvested from asteroids and yet others will come from your standard container types.
Combat, Main Enemy Types
Breathedge does have combat, it is not really a combat focused game but there is plenty of it in certain areas. Not many different enemies exist in space so mainly your looking at robot types.
Characters and Leveling
Breathedge does not let you select male or female character type. The game is played in first person so it really doesn’t effect the gameplay.
Creature Taming and Mounts
Breathedge does not have creature taming but it does have several vehicle types.
Weather Impacts on Gameplay
Do I really have to say it? Okay then, there is no weather in space.

Over Gameplay Difficulty
The game is not overly difficult but you will die and can quiet often. There is a story mode that is alot easier and disables achievements if you are into that sort of things. I would recommend trying the standard mode first.

You’ll have to scavenge for resources, build tools and structures, craft items, explore new areas, fight off dangerous creatures and solve puzzles as you make your way across this hostile environment. The game features stunning visuals with detailed environments filled with unique flora and fauna as well as impressive sound design that creates an immersive experience. It also offers plenty of variety in terms of gameplay mechanics such as crafting systems for building tools or weapons from collected materials or mining ores to help keep things interesting throughout the adventure.
