ASA Server Cluster and Map Setup for ASADedicated Server Manager
First Things First!
I am assuming for these instructions you are already using ASADedicated Manager, for The Island, if not I highly recommend getting the island up and running with the settings of your choice and NO MODS.
The Install
Make sure your original server is up to date by clicking the update ark server button in the top right. (IT tells you if the server is up to date or not). Make sure The Island is also not running.
Go up to Profile Manager click on open or create new server profile.
- Select Copy Selected Profile.
- Change copy profile directory only to copy entire server.
- Select the server path – This is the path to where you want your new server installed, if you are unsure where your current server is installed, move the windows around and you will see in the main large window the server path you are looking for.
- Name your profile, assuming ScorchedEarth, this will identify the profile in the top of the manager tab.
- Select Copy and create
- This copies your entire original server along with all settings for that server
- When the copy is complete select Load Profile, you may or may not get and error but it should actually work correctly.
- Select the new scorched earth tab at the top of the manager.
- Go to the Map Management Tab
- Create a map folder
- Type ScorchedEarth_WP for the map name.
- Select add map
- In the top make sure ScorchedEarth_WP.ark is selected as the map name.
- under GameUserSettings make sure to add at least 2 to the port numbers 7779 27017 for example. and click SAVE GUS.INI
- Run Server
- Do /HappyDance
How to Setup ASA Server Cluster
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
This part is super easy with ASAmanager.
All you need to do is go into the server manager and
- Either generate your own cluster id or use the generate id button.
- COPY this ID to all servers, Then
- Setup a server path for your cluster save data, and
- Copy this to all your servers.
- Make sure to check the Enable Cluster Buttons and Enable Cluster Custom Path.
- SAVE GUS.INI
Don’t forget to change the Port numbers, all servers that are running at the same time need different ports open. I just add 2 numbers to my current ports. (you will need to allow these through the firewall and port forwarding just like any other server).
