Green Hell Multiplayer
You can play Green Hell as multiplayer, better known as co-op mode, but there is no way currently to run a dedicated server and there is no server hosting.
The good news is if you simply want to play with friends or strangers in Steam it is super easy.
Step 1
Launch the game and select multiplayer.
Step 2
Host!
Step 3
Select who can join, this screenshot is set to public, you can also set it to friends only.
Select which game mode you want, either one of the stories or just survival mode.
Step 4
Select the difficulty level.
Step 5
Select a save game slot and Launch!

now, can the other player that joined the game room load the saved game? or only the initial host can load the saved game?
No, this is a peer to peer system, to continue playing the host must be running the save. when the person who joined saves, they are saving their items and location in the world from what I understand.
