Windbound was released on 08/28/2020. It has received little in the way of updates.
Game Engine
Survival Elements
This game is very light survival. It plays like a typical survival game but very few elements will actually kill you. Food is mostly used to heal health and stamina.
Base Building
Windbound has no base building, but does have raft building with acts like a mobile base.
Crafting
You will be crafting all the “normal” type of items. Thing you would expect in any game. New items are unlocked on gathering new materials.
Looting
There is looting of containers as well as gathering.
Combat, Main Enemy Types
Animal type creatures and npc AI, rejoice no zombies to be found here.
Characters and Leveling
You do not have a choice of characters, there is a leveling type skill system that you could use to alter additional playthroughs.
Creature Taming and Mounts
There is no creature taming or mounts. Vehicles are limited to boats.
Weather Impacts on Gameplay
Wind will effect your travel plans, otherwise I did not experience any weather related ill effects.

The overall difficulty is not hard. This is a more laidback style game that does have some more intense combat moments at times. Windbound has several game modes, Easy, Normal, and Endless.
Game Summary
Windbound is a survival and adventure game for PC that takes place on a series of procedurally generated islands. Players take on the role of Kara, a shipwrecked warrior who must explore the various islands in order to find a way back home.
