Game Engine
Survival Elements
Currently, I cannot classify V Rising as a survival game. The game does have many of the elements you would normally associate with survival, but the only real survival aspect is to avoid the sun. There are no other food/drink/hot/cold etc., environmental aspects to gameplay.
Base Building
Yes! Build yourself a giant castle. There is a unique mechanism for building that this game utilizes.
Crafting
V Rising has many, many things to craft. These unlock in various ways.
Looting
There is lots of looting in V Rising, and there is lots of resource gathering as well. Looting comes in the form of containers and dead bad guys. In at least the early game, I did not loot any equipment, like you would in Diablo, but materials for crafting your own equipment.
Combat, Main Enemy Types
There are many different enemy types, The game currently plays more like a ARPG with base building than a survival game.
Characters and Leveling
V rising lets you create both Male and Female Characters.
Creature Taming and Mounts
The game has mounts, as well as a “taming” mechanic, allowing you to take prisoners or servants. I have not unlocked this skill yet, so I am unsure what they are able to do. it is more of a skill than traditional survival game style taming.
Weather Impacts on Gameplay
Well, you are a vampire, so can you take a wild uneducated guess as to how the weather will effect your character. Yes my Sun that hurts.
Game Modes
V Rising does not have game modes, It is a server based game so any settings you want to change can be changed before you start a game.

V Rising takes place on a handcrafted map.
