Tides of Despair was released on 08/18/2023, The game appears to have had no updates.
This game is “fully released” with no further development. The developer states there is more content planned but does not offer a way for this to be tracked/verified.

Game Summary
I normally do not rate any kind of game or give any opinion of if it is worth your money. This is because there are many games that I would not pay money for that other people love, so my opinion isn’t yours. What I will say on this game, The game has very little actual play value, the combat is not engaging, hunting is poke with stick, no challenge at all, swimming has no O2, there is no way to fight underwater. The whole thing is just bad. I appreciate the developer trying to make a game. This game however should be in early access until it is finished.
Developers Stated Features
After a shipwreck, you are one of the survivors.
You make it to land, but soon discover that you are not welcome.
To survive, you will have to build a base for your own protection.
The ship got stuck in the water and many boxes with things inside were floating in the sea.
The tides will start to go down, and new little islands will pop up with stuff to gather.
To avoid the dangers of the sea, such as sharks, you will have to build a raft to be able to explore the islands that will appear when the tide goes down.
