Grand Emprise
We Like Games Like Grand Emprise
I Love survival games, I really enjoy games like Grand Emprise. If you enjoy games similar to Grand Emprise, then check out the following page. I list all the gameplay elements of Grand Emprise and at the bottom of the page is a list of survival games with similar gameplay elements.
Game Engine
Best I can determine the game has been build with Unreal Engine 5
Developer
Survival Elements
There are no real survival elements, the closest thing to manage is food. You must eat or you will take damage. You don’t even have to drink. There are no temperature mechanics or any other mechanics to master.
Base Building
There is “base building” you can select from premade buildings.
Crafting
You will need to craft everything in this game, there are more items to craft with each time travel unlock.
Looting
There is almost no looting, you will need to gather all materials.
Combat, Main Enemy Types
This is a zombie free zone, Men and creatures will be your main adversaries.
Characters and Leveling
There is no character creation, leveling or skills. You will unlock a tech tree by crafting various items.
Creature Taming and Mounts
There is creature taming and mounts.
Weather Impacts on Gameplay
Currently I have not experienced any weather that impacts gameplay
Game Modes
There are no game modes, but there are difficulty levels, including Very Easy, Easy and Normal.
Controls
The game has customizable controls including invert Y Axis
Map
The map is “hand crafted” it is actually many different maps that you teleport between.
Over Gameplay Difficulty
Overall the game is not difficult at all when set at normal. Combat is very simplified “poke with stick” type combat. You will need to dodge certain enemies.
Hours
I played the game for about 4 hours so far. I will continue to play for a while longer, In order to get good value I would need to get a good 40 hours of gameplay out of the game, with 80 hours being optimal. I am not sure the game has enough depth to hit 40 hours.
Game Summary
After 4ish hours of gameplay, the game does not appear to be very deep with systems or gameplay. The game is using assets created by other people, (which is what they where designed for). With very little changes or additions. The combat is very simplified, the crafting is very simple. It is fun to be able to travel back and forth through the different ages at will. This is not a survival game, but can still be enjoyable gameplay experience.
Developers Stated Features
SOLO DEVELOPED & SINGLEPLAYER ONLY
This game constantly introduces completely new features to create an exciting time travel adventure with a focus on high gameplay variety.
Each time era is intentionally short to keep the game constantly exciting, similar to games like It Takes Two and Spore.
This game follows a mostly linear tech tree and does not have modular building so you CANNOT create custom buildings. Don’t expect a sandbox experience.
EXCITING TECHNOLOGY
Progress through time eras as you develop exciting technology!
Fight, tame, and ride dinosaurs & explore an ancient temple.
Forge iron tools as you make a primitive base and fight primal animals & caveman.
Sail desert dunes, face giant primal worms, and fight humans across multiple different times.
Build and manage a human tribe colony, explore an ice cave, discover waterwheel power, and take down a hostile colony.
Glide through landscapes, break into an ancient castle as you build siege weapons and battle soldiers, then explore a modern day museum.
Automate by building machines and generating electricity, produce plastic, fly a hot air balloon, and battle with tanks.
Construct and sail an industrial ship and aircrafts, then mine underground and build a rocket to launch to the moon.
Unlock a futuristic way to automate on the moon, drill the moon using your own rover, fight mechs on Future Earth, and build a Dyson Sphere!
Take off into space to discover and take control of a powerful alien artificial intelligence to go beyond this universe.
