Not dying, does not a survival game make.

No One Survived Beginner Guide

NO One Survived, Not Even Me.

When I started playing No One Survived, I ran into a few issues, that I struggled with. You are here because you either A. don’t want to struggle, or B. are having some of the same issues.

Very Important

First and foremost check your server settings (In your current game open the skills menu and select the farthest tab on the upper right. Make sure Perma-Death isn’t enabled by accident, if it is enabled, when you die, you will respawn but all your skills will be set back to Zero.

UI

When placing things in inventory press R to rotate them.

Currently tab opens inventory, inside tab at the top are 3 icons, a book, for

skills, a shield for character stats, and a hammer for personal crafting. No One Survived beginner guide

Under the skills icon are things you need to learn. The first one is a crafting bench. You need to have 1 log and 3 rocks in your inventory in order to learn the bench. All skills need materials to learn, and many of them also have prerequisites, like medical level 4 for example.

Building

You can build with whatever materials you want, provided you learn planks. However, at least until you get a handle on building, I highly recommend using stones. Stones, are easy to gather, they are everywhere, you don’t need any tools, but if you have a pickaxe you can gather 12 stones from large rocks.
Building in this game is a little different, once you place foundations, you still will not be able to place walls, you have to place beams first (pillars), and along the roofline you will also need to place beams for the roof to attach to. It all makes sense really, but it is extra building not normally required and not explained in game yet.

Build a bed, Yea Yea, I know its standard operating procedure, The thing for me was I kept overlooking the most basic one. There are a couple of beds, that look like beds, but the first one in the list is the one you can craft with basic materials, it doesn’t look like the others, and because of that I kept overlooking it.

Once you place it don’t forget to look at it to set your spawn point, If you don’t when you die you will be placed someplace randomly on the map, and you may not be able to get back to your death spot.

Recovering your “corpse”

When you die you leave a cross headstone, I died in the dark and was looking for a body all over the place, I had died near my base luckily and eventually stumbled across the headstone. All this happened at night which complicated things searching in the moonlight.

Last Couple of Items

Flashlight, to charge the flashlight transfer it to you inventory and select charge, it will swap out a small battery if you have one.

To leave markers on the map, craft street signs and place them. One trick I am going to use is to place a blueprint for the sign on places I have not looted yet, and fill in the sign after I have looted the area, I plan on doing something similar for cars too. (blueprint signs show on the map with no label).
