I Love survival games, I really enjoy games like Remains. If you enjoy games similar to Remains, then check out the following page. I list all the gameplay elements of Remains and at the bottom of the page is a list of survival games with similar gameplay elements.
This game is in early access and I have Limited played time, the information below is per my game time, the developer/steam page or whatever else is available.
A huge thanks to the developer for providing me with a key for review purposes.
Remains is being developed on the Unity Engine.
Remains is being developed by SoloQ who appears to be a lone developer.
Currently, You need to eat and drink and have O2. Eating and drinking is combined into 1 meter, so if you drink or eat it will increase the meter.
You will need to build a custom base.
it appears everything needs to be crafted. Possibly later you will find ready to use items but otherwise other than food and drink which you scavange in random floating containers at first, you must craft everything.
Looting is loose items floating in space and harvesting various floating debris with different tools.
Currently there is no combat, If you enjoy gathering and building, this is a great peaceful building game.
Currently there is no character creation or leveling. The game is first person as well so character creation would be non functioning.
You can make robots but I am unsure what exactly they can do and how many are available.
Umm it’s space, so no weather. Currently you do not have to manage cold or heat either.
Play or don’t are the only options.
The game features map-able keyboard controls along with X – Y axis.
It’s space, so there is no map.
Currently I have a couple hours in the game. This is more than enough to get a good feel of how the game plays.
The game is very easy, with a quick learning curve.
The game summary is usually reserved for a finished game, however I do have a couple tips and tricks.
1. When starting the game make a backpack first, you can only carry what is on the hot bar 1-5 so if you are looting something but can’t pick it up you have to drop something else.
2. you collect food and water from floating boxes. After you make a backpack go for food. you should have plenty of time to accomplish this.
3. The “blueprint” in the crafting menu is what gives you access to base building materials.

Check out and on YouTube.
The following games have these gameplay features. Although most survival games have all these elements and more, you should find that overall you would be playing very similar mechanics but with different graphical assets.
