I Love survival games, I really enjoy games like Grounded or at the least games similar to Grounded. The Following page lists all the gameplay elements of Grounded and at the bottom of the page is a list of survival games with similar gameplay elements.
Grounded was released on 09/27/2022 and continues to receive updates. The last update was done on 12/14/2023
Grounded is very forgiving with the survival mechanics. You will need to eat and drink to prevent death but you get plenty of warning so this will rarely be an issue on normal difficulty. The only other thing to worry about are the bugs. Grounded is not a survival heavy game.
Grounded has all the standard base building options. There are multiple types of materials from grass planks up to mushroom bricks.
Grounded has many items to craft to improve your chances of survival. Crafting grounded is unique in that you unlock new recipes by scanning new materials found or harvested around the world.
Looting comes in form of collecting resources from enemies and gathering from the world. There are some container loots as well.
Grounded is one of the few zombie-less experiences. Your main enemies are going to be bugs of all kinds including giant spiders. If you hate spiders I would like to note you can adjust the settings on them to display as circles, think of it as fighting balloons with eyes.
Grounded doesn’t have any level up mechanics, the closest thing is mutations, which you unlock as you perform certain actions in the game. These make your character more powerful in specific ways.
Grounded does have creature taming, there are not currently mounts
The major element missing from grounded is rain. Currently there is none, it was on the developers list but we don’t know if it still remains now that it is fully released. It is understandable, giant rain drops destroying your character or base could be very challenging to develop.

Grounded features a hand crafted fixed map.
Grounded is not super difficult to play. The game does utilize a blocking mechanic that can be limiting for some. If you are most interested in the story it does have an easy mode that is suppose to be much more forgiving.
Grounded Review, Grounded is an engaging and immersive survival experience that takes players on an unforgettable journey through a microscopic world filled with wonder and danger. In this game, you must grapple with everything from lightning bugs to massive spiders as you work to uncover the secrets of your surroundings and find a way to escape.
The graphics of this game are nothing short of stunning, with a level of detail that is truly remarkable. From the way the grass sways in the wind to the way the raindrops splash against your character’s face, every aspect of the game is carefully crafted to bring the world to life.
The gameplay is also top-notch, with a deep crafting system and a variety of survival mechanics that keep you engaged throughout. You must constantly scavenge for food and water, build shelter, and craft tools to survive in this harsh environment.
One of the most enjoyable aspects of the game is the co-op multiplayer, which allows you to team up with friends to explore, build, and survive together. The game also has frequent updates and new content, which keeps the experience fresh and exciting.
However, some players found the game to be repetitive and lacking in content when playing solo. But still, Grounded is a must-play for fans of the survival genre, offering a unique and immersive twist on traditional gameplay.
