Conan Exiles was released on 05/08/18 and has continued to receive many updates over the years, with the most recent being 12/14/2023

Survival Elements
Conan Exiles has no lack of ways to die.
Food, you will need to keep up with food and lots of it, including mounts and thralls. (although thralls and mounts will not starve to death)
Water, Don’t be caught without it, there is a lot of water around and it’s a good thing, you will need it all.
Heat, You can die from heat and will need to manage it, but its not overwhelming.
Cold, Same goes for the cold.
Diseases, There are a number of diseases better known as status effects that can kill your character, most come from combat encounters.
Base Building
Conan has all the standard base building options. There are multiple types of materials to build with. One item to note is Conan has multiple expansion packs that add styles based on a theme. These start with special base building pieces and end with matching interior decorations. They also recently overhauled the base building mechanic (Late 2022), improving it greatly. You will need to defend your base against waves of attacks which differ depending on where you set up home.
Crafting
Conan has almost endless items to craft. Weapons, armor, decorations, stations, modifications, food, drinks, consumables, etc. There is a amazing amount of items and options.
Looting
looting varies from containers, chests, resource nodes and of course your victims.
Combat, Main Enemy Types
The enemy types are varied. everything from unique creatures, animals, and npc humans. However this is a Zombie free zone.
Characters and Leveling
Conan lets you create both male and female characters with or without clothes. Parents beware. Conan also has a points system creating unique styles of play, with changes in combat, and allowing several playthroughs with a different experience.
Creature Taming and Mounts
Conan is super unique in that not only does it have creature mounts of various kinds, it also has npc that can and should be tamed. these can be used to craft items not otherwise available to your character.
Weather Impacts on Gameplay
Weather has some impact on gameplay and could kill you. Most notably are the sand storms.

Over Gameplay Difficulty
Conan is not as difficult as some other survival games. You can and will die fairly often but generally speaking you will be able to handle most encounters once you understand the opponent.
